ABOUT

Image by Wim van 't Einde

Trumpet Player, Rapper Songwriter, & Composer Quin Jaye was born and raised in Allentown, PA.. He began playing trumpet in elementary school and carried it out to the auditioned based performing arts high school, “Lehigh Valley Charter High School For The Arts” located in Bethlehem, PA.. While studying and playing “Jazz” music (also known as Black American Music), he began the journey to finding his voice as a Rapper.

His most recent 'Hip-Hop' series entitled, “Kinda Blue” has 3 installments. Overall, the series is a collection of thoughts, emotions, and stories stored inside very wide, diverse, BAM inspired Hip-Hop instrumentals. With underlying meanings in everything Quin Jaye writes-he disguises it well as the the series continues to develop into something ALMOST unrecognizable from the previous installment. As production changes drastically through the 3 installments, Quin Jaye manages to juggle entertaining, storytelling, and innovating in a tasteful way.

As Quin Jaye continues to innovate and break boundaries- his most recent single, "BOOMIES" released September of 2024 suggests a fresh, new era of sonics. With a "New Jazz" feel (a term coined by artist Lunchbox"), heavy autotune effects, and more digestible content it is evident Quin Jaye follows in his idol Miles Davis' footsteps when it comes to musical reinvention.
